The Baltimore Times and The Washington Informer featured two Urban Teachers Baltimore participants in the article "Urban Teachers Discuss Anniversary of Baltimore Unrest." In the piece, Urban Teachers participants, Corey Gillis and Brandi Worley, share their approaches to addressing last year's unrest in their classrooms. Corey Gillis, a 6th grade math teacher, explained that "his approach in tackling the riots in his classroom involves civic lessons that use mathematics."
